Lime & Honey Bedtime Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (or herbal tea)
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Optional: 4–5 fresh mint leaves
  • Optional: a pinch of ginger

Method

  1. Warm the water (not boiling).
  2. Squeeze in the lime juice.
  3. Stir in the honey until dissolved.
  4. Add mint or ginger if you like.
  5. Drink about 1 hour before bed.

Taste

  • Tangy from the lime
  • Sweet from the honey
  • Very soothing warm

Quick note

This can feel refreshing and hydrating, but claims like “more energy the next day” or “after 50 it will surprise you” are marketing more than science. If citrus bothers your stomach or causes reflux at night, reduce the lime or drink it earlier.
