Aloe Vera Hair Growth Oil

Ingredients

  • 4–5 large aloe vera leaves
  • 750 ml water
  • 200 ml coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 2 tbsp castor oil (optional)
  • 1 vitamin E capsule (optional)

Method

  1. Wash the aloe leaves well.
  2. Cut away the edges and slice open.
  3. Scoop out the gel and cut into cubes.
  4. Put aloe cubes + 750 ml water in a pot.
  5. Simmer on low heat 10–15 minutes.
  6. Let cool slightly.
  7. Strain through a fine sieve or cloth.
  8. Mix the aloe liquid with 200 ml coconut oil.
  9. Add castor oil + vitamin E if using.
  10. Pour into a clean bottle.

How to use

  • Massage into scalp for 5 minutes.
  • Apply through hair lengths.
  • Leave 30–60 minutes (or overnight).
  • Wash with shampoo.

Storage

  • In the fridge: up to 1 week
  • If mostly oil and well strained: 2–3 weeks

Benefits: may help moisturize the scalp, reduce dryness, add shine, and make hair feel softer.
