The Hidden Power of Puncture Vine Fruit (Tribulus terrestris)

Here’s a simple recipe people traditionally make with it:

Tribulus Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon dried tribulus (or 2 tablespoons fresh, washed well)
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • A slice of lemon (optional)

Method

  1. Rinse the herb carefully (watch the sharp seed pods).
  2. Bring the water to a boil.
  3. Add the tribulus.
  4. Lower heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
  5. Turn off heat and let steep another 5 minutes.
  6. Strain.
  7. Add honey or lemon if you like.

How much

  • 1 small cup once a day.

Important note
Tribulus can interact with some medicines and may affect blood sugar or blood pressure. Avoid during pregnancy unless a clinician says it’s okay.

If you meant a food recipe using it another way (powder, infusion, etc.), tell me and I’ll write that version too.
