🥔 Crispy Cheesy Potato Patties (Cheese-Stuffed)

Golden on the outside, soft inside, with melted stretchy cheese — perfect as a snack, appetizer, or quick dinner.

🧀 Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes (boiled & mashed)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or melting cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 3–4 tbsp flour (or breadcrumbs)
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan (optional)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • Oil or butter for frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Potato Mixture

  1. Boil potatoes until soft.
  2. Mash smoothly while warm.
  3. Add:
    • egg
    • flour
    • parsley
    • salt, pepper, garlic powder
  4. Mix until a soft dough forms.

2️⃣ Stuff with Cheese

  1. Take a small portion of potato mixture.
  2. Flatten in your hand.
  3. Place cheese in the center.
  4. Seal and shape into a thick patty.

3️⃣ Fry Until Crispy

  1. Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side.
  3. Cook until golden brown and crispy.

🔥 Air Fryer Option

  • Brush patties lightly with oil
  • Air fry at 190°C (375°F) for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.

✅ Tips for Perfect Patties

✔ Chill patties 15 minutes before frying (prevents breaking)

✔ Use mozzarella for stretchy cheese

✔ Add chopped green onions or chili flakes for extra flavor
