AIR FRYER POACHED EGG

This looks like Poached Eggs on Toast (often made in an air fryer or with a traditional poaching method).

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices bread, toasted
  • 1 tsp vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • Chopped chives or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill a saucepan with water and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  2. Add vinegar if using.
  3. Crack each egg into a small bowl.
  4. Create a gentle swirl in the water and carefully slide in the eggs.
  5. Cook for 3–4 minutes for a runny yolk, or 5 minutes for a firmer yolk.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain briefly.
  7. Place the eggs on toasted bread.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped chives.

Air Fryer Method

  1. Lightly grease two small ramekins.
  2. Add 2–3 tablespoons water to each ramekin and crack in an egg.
  3. Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 5–7 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  4. Serve on toast and season to taste.
